– Heat a large saucepan or dutch oven with 1 teaspoon oil over medium heat. – Sauté onion and garlic for 3 minutes.

– Add broth and broccoli; bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes. – Combine milk and flour with a whisk until blended and smooth. Add to broccoli mixture and cook for 3 minutes, or until thickened.

– Add Velveeta to soup and reduce heat to low. Allow cheese to melt, stirring occasionally.
