Creamy  Grits

This easy cheesy, creamy grits recipe is perfect for breakfast or in the Southern dish shrimp and grits. It's sure to become a family favourite!

Ingredients you will need:

– stone ground grits - heavy cream - cheddar cheese - parmesan cheese - butter


1. Bring water, salt, and grits to a gentle boil over med-high heat. Stir constantly for the first 2 or 3 minutes.


2. Turn the heat down to low and cover the pot. Let the grits simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring every 5-10 minutes.

For some pretty tender, amazing grits soak grits before cooking them. Soak them for 2 hours on the counter top, or longer in the refrigerator and use the soaking liquid to cook the grits.
