Pop open a tube of crescent dough and unroll onto a cutting board.
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut along the precut lines to separate the crescents. You should have 8 total.
Cut one crescent into three equal sized strips.
Place a sausage at the wider part of the strip and roll it up. Repeat the process until the desired amount is made.
Sprinkle some with bagel seasoning, if using.
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F for three minutes.
Place crescent dogs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Leave some space between them to allow the hot air to circulate and give the dough room to rise.
Air fry for 5-6 minutes at 350 degrees F, or until sausages are hot and pastry is golden brown. I don't flip mine over because I like to keep the tops fluffy.
If more cooking time is needed, increase time in short 30 second increments to prevent over browning.
Reduce temperature to 330 degrees F if you notice that the pastry is browning too quickly. Add more cook time if needed.
Oven Directions
Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place prepared pigs in a blanket on the baking sheet about an inch apart. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
Notes
Air fryers can vary by brand and model. It may be necessary to adjust the temperature and cook time.
Pour sausages into a small bowl and pat dry with a paper towel before wrapping in dough.
