If desired, pre-heat the air fryer at 400 degrees F for 3 minutes.
Place tater crowns in the air fryer basket in an even, single layer.
Air fry at 400 degrees F for 10 to 13 minutes, shaking or flipping the tater crowns at the halfway point. You can also spritz the tater crowns with non-stick cooking spray or and oil spritzer at this time for better crisping.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the basket for best results. If you have a larger air fryer, you may be able to make an entire bag at once. Smaller air fryers will need to cook in batches.
Give the basket a good shake halfway through cooking to ensure even browning. Lightly spray the tater crowns with cooking spray or drizzle with a small amount of olive oil for crispy perfection.
Season the tater crowns with your favorite spices or seasonings right after cooking for added flavor.
