Instructions
Mix sauce ingredients (water through cornstarch) and set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add ground chicken and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned.
Stir in the grated orange rind and green onions. Season with salt and pepper.
Reduce the heat to medium, then slowly pour in the orange sauce mixture while stirring.
Add chopped green pepper to the sauce.
Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
Serve over hot cooked rice and garnish with orange slices if desired.

Nutritional information is an estimate and doesn't include rice.You may find it easier to remove the browned ground chicken to a plate, then add the orange sauce and cornstarch mixture to the pan. This will let you really stir the sauce well to avoid clumps. Add the meat back into the pan and stir to coat the meat in the sauce.If you are in a big rush, try using a premade store bought orange sauce. Panda Express makes a version that’s pretty good.
