Love easy desserts made with Oreo cookies? If the answer is YES, then you have to try this air fryer Oreos recipe!

I have to admit that I was skeptical about this recipe. It just seemed too simple to be good. So before testing this version, I tested a version made with Bisquick pancake mix. I think you can figure out which recipe I thought was better.

Using pancake mix meant more ingredients and it also required getting the pancake batter consistency just right. This took some trial and error when I just wanted a fast and simple recipe that was foolproof! My sweet tooth can be pretty impatient!

Making the air fryer Oreos with crescent roll dough simplified the entire process. There was less mess, no guesswork, and they tasted like the real deal from the first bite! So grab a cold glass of milk and your air fryer for a tasty treat made with America's favorite cookie!

The completed recipe.

Ingredients

Oreos - I used original flavor double stuf Oreos. You can choose regular Oreos, golden Oreos--whichever is your favorite or what you might have on hand.

Crescent rolls - I used Pillsbury brand crescent roll dough. I get the best results and best flavor with these.

Powdered sugar - don't skip this! This is also called confectioners' sugar.

Cooking spray - I like to spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.

Optional - you might like to offer some caramel sauce, chocolate syrup or sauce for dipping or drizzling over the finished product.

Ingredients to make the recipe.

Directions

1) Carefully open and unwrap the crescent rolls from the tube. There will be four rectangular pieces each with a diagonal perforation. Seal the perforation with your fingers then cut each rectangle in half so that you have eight squares.

2) Wrap each cookie with one square of crescent dough. Be sure you cover the entire cookie, sealing the dough.

3) Place wrapped Oreos, seam side down, in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 350 degrees F for 6 minutes, or until golden brown. I don't flip them over so the top of the air-fried Oreos stays round and pillow like.

4) Carefully remove the cookies from the basket. You don't want to pull them too hard and break the dough apart. Just use a silicone pancake turner to gently remove them. Dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm.

Tips

  • Try to place Oreos in the air fryer basket with a little space between them to give the dough room to puff up.
  • Use parchment paper cut to fit the bottom of the basket, if desired.
  • Cook time can vary depending on your type of air fryer. I recommend checking for doneness at the five minute mark.

How to store

Store leftovers tightly covered or in an airtight container. You can leave them at room temperature for 2-3 days or longer in the refrigerator.

Reheat in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds and eat warm!
