Are you a fan of Texas Roadhouse restaurant's hand-cut steaks? Are you a steak lover looking for one of the best dry rubs that will take your cuts of meat to the next level? Then this seasoning blend is for you!

This Texas Roadhouse steak rub recipe is one of our favorite copycat recipes and has become a panty staple in our house. It's simple to make and affordable and really brings out the meat's flavor. I like to make a big batch so I always have some on hand. If you love a filet mignon with a delicious crust then give this rub a try.

If you reserve cooking steak for a special occasion then you'll love the versatility of the spic mix. It's not just great on the best cast iron ribeye steaks, it's also great to season these air fryer burger patties, this pepper steak with gravy, or this easy sloppy joes recipe.

Kitchen tips

As an all purpose seasoning: Mix a couple tablespoons into ground meat for meatballs or your favorite skillet meal.

For steaks: use enough seasoning to cover the entire steak, including the sides of the steak. Let steaks come to room temperature before cooking.

For burgers: mix a couple tablespoons into the fresh ground meat, or if using premade patties, generously coat both sides.

The best way to get perfectly cooked steaks and burgers is to use a meat thermometer.

How to store

For best results, store in an airtight container. If you double or triple the recipe for future use, then using a mason jar would be a good option. You can also use an empty spice jar with a shaker-type top or another spice container of choice.

Keep any leftover seasoning mixture in a dry place away from heat and sunlight for the longest shelf life.
