    Why you'll love it

    • Easy breakfast idea
    • Simple cooking process
    • Quick meal for busy mornings

    Ingredients

Raw sausage patties - you can use either fresh patties or frozen sausage patties. We used pork sausage patties, but you may choose a different type of meat like turkey or chicken.

We choose a 12 ounce package of store brand pre-sliced sausages, so if you use the kind that comes in a tube like Bob Evans original roll sausage or Jimmy Dean, be sure to cut the patties as evenly as possible. Cook times are based on patties that are about ½ inch thick.

    ingredients to make the recipe

    Equipment

    • Cosori Air Fryer
    • Parchment paper liners
    • Silicone tongs
    • Meat thermometer
    • Airtight containers

    Instructions

Place sausage patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer. For best results, leave a little bit of space in between them.

If patties are frozen: cook at 350 degrees F for about 5 minutes or until patties are defrosted. Turn the heat up to 400 and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes, flipping at the halfway point. Edges should be slightly browned. You can use a paper towel to blot away any extra grease, if desired.

If patties are fresh: cook for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees F, flipping halfway through. Edges should be slightly browned. You can use a paper towel to blot away any extra fat, if desired.

What should the internal temperature of pork breakfast sausage be?

Pork sausages should reach an internal temperature of 155 degrees F when fully cooked.

    Kitchen tips

Be familiar with your brand and type of air fryer as cook time can vary with different models.

Use parchment paper liners if desired. Using them doesn't affect the cooking time.

    Serving suggestions

    • Batch cook sausages for the week to help with breakfast meal prep.
    • Pair with eggs, cheese and English muffins or biscuits to make breakfast sandwiches.
    • Serve with a side of maple syrup or hot honey sauce for dipping.

    How to store and reheat

For best results, store leftover patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Reheat in the microwave at 50% power until hot, about one minute.

Or reheat in the air fryer at 380 degrees F for 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through.

Freeze in freezer safe containers for up to four months for longer storage. Thaw in the refrigerator.

Reheat form frozen in the microwave at 50% power for one to two minutes, or reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for about three minutes.

Heat until hot and cooked through or until internal temperature reaches 155 degrees F.
